The Epson B-510dn was introduced this spring as a single function inkjet printer targeted at small and medium businesses with color printing needs.
The B-510dn provides a large paper capacity up to 650 sheets, a high capacity ink cartridge capable of printing in color for a low 4 cents per page, fast print speeds up to 18 ppm in color, automatic duplexing and built-in networking capability.

BUILD AND DESIGN
The Epson B-510dn is targeted at business customers and that clears from the design. Reminiscent of older models, the B-510dn has a boxy exterior done in gray and black with only a small Epson logo on the front panel. The dimensions are 19 x 22 x 12 inches and it weighs in around 24 lbs. out of the box.
What the B-510dn lacks in flair, it makes up for in practicality. Epson provides easy front side access to the four color (CMYK) ink cartridges as well as the maintenance box. Epson provides four standard capacity ink cartridges but offers high capacity cartridges for all four cartridges as well as an extra high capacity black ink cartridge. When using the extra high capacity black ink in conjunction with the high capacity magenta, cyan and yellow ink cartridges, the B-510dn can print a color page for as low as four cents.
There is also easy access to the inside of the machine from the front panel and the back panel for unclogging paper jams.
The control panel consists of a one line LCD panel, three LED lights, two quick keys, four directional arrow keys and a power button. Simple, but effective.
Perhaps the biggest incentive for businesses using the B-510dn is the 650 sheet paper capacity, by far the largest I’ve seen on a single function desktop inkjet printer. The B-510dn can handle 500 sheets of legal or letter sized paper in the cassette located beneath the Epson logo as well as another 150 sheets of letter sized paper through the rear folding tray (only 60 legal-sized sheets).
The B-510dn offers both a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 connection as well as built-in networking.
