Along with the release of two new Pixma Photo All-in-One printers earlier this week, Canon also introduced the Selphy CP800 compact photo printer this morning.
The Selphy CP800 will replace the Selphy CP780 in the popular dedicated dye sub photo printer line. Like the rest of the Selphy printers Canon sells, the CP800 will use a dye ribbon cartridge allowing for the printer to be super mobile without the worry of ink spills or a print head getting unaligned.
Canon will also offer an optional battery pack for completely wireless printing, allowing customers to roam wherever they choose and still get 4x6 photo printers.
The Selphy CP800 will feature an adjustable 2.5 inch LCD, built-in memory card with a PictBridge port, 4x6 photo prints in as fast as 47 seconds and several photo printing options including Image Optimizer , ID photo print, Shuffle (a photo collage) and Skin Smoothing.
Canon has announced they will offer the Selphy CP800 in multiple finishes, black and white, like the Selphy CP780 before it.
The Canon Selphy CP800 Compact Photo Printer will be available this fall through the Canon website and authorized retailers for the estimated street price of $99.99.
