Samsung ML-2855nd review

BUILD AND DESIGN
The Samsung ML-2855ND might be the most compact single function laser printer I’ve reviewed to date.  Measuring in at 16 x 14 x 9 inches, Samsung claims the ML-2855nd is the “world’s smallest laser printer with built-in duplexing”.  I believed it after I realized it only weighs roughly 19 lbs. 

Getting past the size, the ML-2855nd has a basic design.  The exterior is a mixture of dark gray and light gray with a small control panel featuring a two line display, a compass navigation, LED bar and cancel button.

The output tray takes up the entire top of the ML-2855nd and can hold up to 150 sheets of basic copy paper. On the right side of the ML-2855nd, users can access the memory.

Pull out the front of the ML-2855nd to install the 5,000 page high capacity toner cartridge or the 2,000 page standard capacity toner cartridge.  Samsung uses the same cartridge across three different printer configurations which could be useful for an office with a printer fleet. The 50-sheet multipurpose tray is also located on the front of the ML-2855nd.

The ML-2855nd offers a 250-sheet cassette standard but businesses can add an optional 250-sheet drawer taking the maximum paper capacity to 550 sheets.

Both the Hi-Speed USB 2.0 and Ethernet connection ports are found on the back of the ML-2855nd.
