Earlier this week, amid a flurry of major product announcements from many manufacturers, Polaroid revealed that it had signed a multi-year contract with Lady Gaga as Creative Director of a specialty line of Polaroid imaging products.
For those who follow the top 100 charts, Lady Gaga has had several popular singles over the past year including: Just Dance, Poker Face, and Bad Romance. Her partnership with Polaroid will be influenced by her Haus of Gaga line, a series of fashion friendly technology and photography products.
Although she was thirty minutes late, Lady Gaga made her usual splashy appearance with a mountain of hair styled and teased to resemble a huge straw hat, large black glasses, and a black dress with shoulder pads the size of football players.
It was incredibly difficult to hear what she had to say since the microphone and overall sound quality wasn't great and the crowd was sizable but it was apparent that Polaroid has picked an edgy new partner to be the face of their brand. Time will only tell what kid of stamp Lady Gaga and her Haus of Gaga line will put on future Polaroid products.
