P713W SPECIFICATIONS
BUILD AND DESIGN
The P713w has an entire new look and feel compared to the first generation P703w. The design is more compact and sleek; the body is now done in white with black accents as opposed to an all black exterior. The top side control panel has been replaced by a front side 4.3-inch color WQVGA touch screen.
There is a small Dell P713w label above the built-in memory card reader and a Dell logo on top of the reflective glossy black scanner lid.
The flatbed scanner on the P713w has an optical resolution with 1200 x 2400 dpi and an interpolated resolution up to 2400 x 4800 dpi. The P713w also offers Scan-to features and Dell's proofing feature.
Lifting the body for the printer at the midsection will reveal the print head and new ink tanks. Dell has switched from the traditional ink cartridges to ink tanks although they look very similar.
The P713w has only a power button on the control panel; the printer is navigated completely through its 4.3-inch color WQVGA touch screen.
To the right of the touch screen control panel, users will find the built-in card reader compatible with CompactFlash, SD, xD, MMC, Memory Stick, PictBridge and USB. Thanks to the card reader, users can print standalone photos at a touch of a screen.
The 150 sheet adjustable paper tray and the 50 sheet output tray are located before the touch screen. The P713w can print up to 8.5x11 photos.
You'll find the connection ports and access to the paper path on the back of P713w.
