BUILD AND DESIGN
Every time I review a Xerox printer, I’m impressed with the compact, professional design and the neutral but pleasant colors that are typical of the company.  The Phaser 6140 is no exception with approximate dimensions of 16 x 18 x 16 inches.

Since the Phaser 6140 is a single function printer, there isn’t quite as much going on in terms of devices but you’ll still find some solid features.

Starting at the top of the device, users will find the extendable output tray with a 150 sheet capacity.

The control panel is located on the front and features a one line backlit display, a power save button, menu button, cancel button, and four directional arrows for navigating the menu.

The one page manual feed slot is also located on the front of the Phaser 6140; it supports a variety of paper sizes from 3 x 5 inches to 8.5 x 14 inches thanks to adjustable paper clasps.

Pull out the manual feed and users will find the 250-sheet paper cassette.  The paper tray is also compatible with paper sized from 3 x 5 inches to 8.5 x 14 inches.  For companies with a greater paper capacity need, the Phaser 6140 does offer an additional 250-sheet tray at an extra cost.

The new smaller sized Xerox EA toner cartridges can be installed or accessed by opening the right side panel.  The Phaser 6140 runs on CYMK but can be used in Run Black mode when a color cartridge runs out unexpectedly.

The power switch is located on the left side of the printer while the connection ports and power cord port are found on the back side.
