At CES 2009, Mattel showed off its new Beautronics line which featured a concept Barbie digital nail printer with thermal inkjet technology. Well, girls, the concept has arrived and Mattel has officially launched its Barbie Doll'd Up Nails Digital Nail Printer.
The compact pink printer allows children (and adults) to choose from hundreds of intricate designs impossible to paint by hand while having fun with their friends (and children). The process entails a base coat, bonding coat and top coat and since the printer is run in conjunction with a computer, it's probably a two person job.
The Doll'd Up Nails printer will be exclusively sold at Toys R US for $179.99. Ink refill kits run about $10 and the nail polish kit will cost you about $30.
