"Easy" recycling at Staples

Staples, the office products chain, launched an improved ink and toner recycling program at 1,521 stores nationwide earlier this year and of course this caught the attention of the PrinterComparison.com staff.

Most people know Staples from their commercials featuring the "Easy Button" or their tagline, "Now, that's easy."  What many people don't know is that Staples -the world’s largest office products chain (according to Staples.com) - has long been accepting customer’s used ink and toner cartridges at no additional cost for recycling.

On February 1, 2009, the company decided to take the program further by offering customers $3 back through the Staples Rewards program for each cartridge returned (up to ten cartridges a month).

Because this insanely good deal seemed too good to be true, we visited a local Staples store earlier in April to get the scoop on everything Staples has to offer customers - at least printer related!  Check out our interview below with the GM Troy Blevins.

Earth Day 2009 may have passed but you can still make a difference by sending your cartridges to your local Staples instead of a landfill.  I promise, it is super easy and who doesn't love free money? I can't wait to get my $30 check in the mail but I'm sure you know what I'll be buying - more ink and paper!
