Canon introduces the Selphy CP780 compact printer

Canon announced last night the latest addition to the Selphy family of compact photo printers – the Selphy CP780.

Featuring 4x6 prints in as little as 47 seconds, the newest Selphy has a 2.5 inch LCD, a built-in memory card reader with a USB port, an optional battery pack for travel and an optional Bluetooth adapter for wireless printing.

This new compact photo printer features higher image quality thanks to upgrades to the Portrait Image Optimize feature, Face Detection brightness correction, and color cast correction.

The CP780 is available in three colors: silver, pink and blue. Canon chose these colors to correspond with the new PowerShot SD1200 IS digital camera.

The Canon Selphy CP780 has an estimated retail value of $99.99 and will be available sometime in March 2009.
