Brother Introduces HL-3000 LED Printer Series

Brother unveiled a new series of digital color LED printers that offer small businesses competitive business features at a new low price point.

The HL-3000 series of digital color LED printers consists of two single function models: the HL-3140cw and the HL-3170cdw. Both models will wireless connectivity and high capacity toner cartridges for under $300.

The entry level HL-3140cw will feature print speeds up 19 ppm, a print resolution up to 600 x 2400 dpi, 250-sheet paper tray, mobile printing and a deep sleep mode for $249.99.

For $30 more, the HL-3170cdw takes things up a notch with print speeds up to 23 ppm, automatic duplexing, Ethernet connectivity (in addition to wireless) and PCL6 and BR-Script3 emulations.

The HL-3000 series of digital color LED printers are expected to be available in March 2013 from Brother and authorized vendors.
