Canon Spreads Holiday Cheer with new Pixma Inkjets

All three Pixma printers - Pixma MG6320, Pixma MG5420 and Pixma iP7220 - will feature Canon's new snap-edge design offering easy access to the device's ink cartridges as well as a low height reducing the area needed to open the top scan lid. Canon has also including front loading paper cassettes on all three printers, nixing the rear paper trays seen in the past so that customers can push their device against the wall. You'll also find the new Auto Power On mode that allows the printers to receive jobs and begin printing even if the printer is fully powered off (as opposed to sitting in sleep mode).

The Pixma MG6320 Wireless Photo All-in-One will replace the Pixma MG6220 in Canon's photo printer lineup offering a larger 3.5-inch LCD, increased print speeds up to 15 ppm in black and 10 ppm in color, dual front paper trays (125-sheet cassette, 20-sheet photo tray) and two color options (black or white) as improvements. The MG6320 still offers Canon's Intelligent Touch System where keys light up as needed based on the job as well as automatic duplexing, ChromaLife 100+ ink system with six inks, Full HD Move Print, the new My Image Garden software and wireless connectivity with mobile applications. The Pixma MG6320 Wireless Photo All-in-One is expected to retail for $199.99.

The Pixma MG5420 Wireless Photo All-in-One will be replacing the Pixma MG5320 in the lineup. Features for the Pixma MG5420 include: print speeds up to 15 ppm in black and 10 ppm in color, 3-inch LCD, dual front paper trays, direct disk print, automatic duplexing, ChromaLife 100+ ink system with five inks, Full HD Movie Print, My Image Garden software and wireless connectivity with mobile apps. The Pixma MG5420 Wireless Photo All-in-One is expected to retail for $149.99.

The single function Pixma iP7220 Wireless Photo Printer will follow in the footsteps of the Pixma iP4920 offering quicker print speeds at 15 ppm in black and white and 10 ppm in color, a print resolution up to 9600 x 2400 dpi, ChromaLife100 + ink system with five inks, automatic duplexing, CD/DVD printing and wireless connectivity. The Pixma iP7220 Wireless Photo Printer is expected to retail for $99.99.

Canon also introduced a new photo scanner, the CanoScan 9000F Mark II. Features include: optical scan resolution up to 9600 x 9600 dpi, 35mm film strip scanning with a guide and frame, film adapter unit, auto document fix, seven EZ buttons for scans, copies and creating PDFs. The CanoScan 9000F Mark II is expected to retail for $199.99.
