The lexmark OfficeEdge Pro5500 might not normally make a small office, home office list because it might be more machine than the average at-home professional needs but it could be a great fit in a small office or workgroup and with a price tag of $249, it's a steal.  Oh, and did we mention it won a PrinterComparison Editor's Choice Award?

The HP Officejet 6700 Premium is number two on our list because it offers quicker print speeds, HP ePrint and web connected applications and the second largest paper capacity behind the lexmark and Epson models.  And it's only $119.99 (as of this writing), making it the most budget friendly model in the top five.

The Epson WorkForce 845 is a solid choice for any small office, home office with print speeds up to 15 ppm, a large 7.8-inch touch panel, 500-sheet paper tray and 50-sheet duplexing automatic document feeder for $199.99.  You can also get extra high capacity ink cartridges with this model, which is plus if you print frequently. 

Epson WorkForce 845 review

The Pixma MX892 offers excellent print quality, especially in the photo department, for an office inkjet but it is slightly slower (print speeds up to 12.5 ipm) and offers a smaller 3-inch display. Still, you'll get plenty of business features including a front side USB port, automatic duplexing and 35-sheet ADF for $199.99.

The Dell V725w was a surprise top five pick because in the past I've been less than impressed with some of their inkjet models.  Having said that, the V725w made the list because it offers decent print speeds up to 10 ppm, 2.4-inch LCD, 50-sheet ADF, automatic duplexing, 150-sheet paper tray and wireless connectivity for $169.99.  This would be a better choice for the at-home professional whereas a small office might want to look higher up on the list.
