Samsung Introduces A4 Color Laser Line

All six models will feature the Rendering Engine for Clean Pages (ReCP), the latest image processing technology. We got to see examples of the precise color trapping (cleaning up misaligned edges and removing white space between colors) and the composite color reduction (takes out soft dotting along edges to create cleaner text and images).

Customers will also get the Samsung Polymerized Toner, using 35 percent less electricity in manufacturing process as well as providing a reduced paper curl on finished products and lower power consumption thanks to a lower fusing temperature.

I got to spend some time with all six models on display and took this great video with Samsung Printer Product Manager Ilya Shnayder explaining the new USB direct print.

The CLX-6260 will be offered in two configurations: the CLX-6260fd and the CLX-6260fw. These models offer print, scan, copy and fax functionality as well as print speeds up to 25 ppm in both black and color, 4.3-inch color touchscreen, automatic duplexing, direct USB printing, 250-sheet paper tray, 50-sheet multipurpose tray, 50-sheet ADF and a 533 MHz Dual CPU with 512MB of memory standard.

Both units are network ready with the CLX-6260fd offering Ethernet and the CLX-6260fw offering Wi-Fi connectivity.

The CLP-680nd is the single function version of the CLX-6260 with the same print engine: print speeds up to 25 ppm, automatic duplexing, direct USB printing, 250-sheet paper tray, 50-sheet multipurpose tray, network ready (Ethernet) and a 533 MHz Dual CPU with 256 MB of memory standard.

The CLX-4195fw is a step down from the CLX-6260 series with print speeds up to 19 ppm in both black and color, monthly duty cycle up to 40,000 pages, reduced standard memory (256 MB standard) and a 1-sheet bypass tray. You will still find the 4.3-inch touch screen, direct USB printing, 250-sheet paper tray, 50-sheet ADF and wireless connectivity.

The CLP-415nw is the single function version of the CLX-4195fw with the same print engine: print speeds up to 19 ppm, 250-sheet paper tray with single sheet bypass tray, 256 MB of memory and wireless connectivity.

The CLX-3305fw is the bottom of the new multifunction color laser with print, scan, copy and fax capability as well as print speeds up to 19 ppm in black and 4 ppm in color, a 50-sheet ADF, 150-sheet paper tray, monthly duty cycle up to 20,000 pages, direct USB printing and wireless connectivity.

The CLP-365w is the single function version of the CLX-3305fw sharing similar specs: print speeds up to 19 ppm in black and 4 ppm in color, a 150-sheet cassette, monthly duty cycle up to 20,000 pages and wireless connectivity.
